In this kind of device, the rear assembly is held in place by a specific set of screws that secure the back glass, camera module frame, and surrounding brackets. The service documentation for the Galaxy S10+ lists a total of sixteen fasteners that must be removed to completely detach the rear assembly and access the internal components safely. This total ensures you account for both the screws around the outer perimeter and the internal screws that fix brackets and the camera frame.

Why sixteen is the best answer: it reflects the full complement of fasteners required to separate the rear cover without leaving any pieces still threaded or under tension. If you see fewer screws in a guide, a screw may be hidden under adhesive or a small bracket in some variants, or the guide might be summarizing steps and omitting a few. If you see more screws listed, that usually means the guide is including screws from adjacent assemblies, which aren’t removed when freeing the rear panel. Focusing on the documented sixteen ensures you’re counting exactly what the official procedure requires for a clean separation and proper reassembly.
